In addition to these core modules, polymer materials, due to their heat resistance, flame retardancy, heat dissipation, insulation and other characteristics, are indispensable for the shell, internal heat dissipation, and protective structure of portable energy storage.

 

From the perspective of the shell, due to the large power consumption of portable energy storage, the heat generation is relatively high. For safety reasons, fire prevention and heat dissipation must be taken seriously. Therefore, currently, most portable energy storage shells mainly use PC+ABC combinations with a flame retardant level of V0.

 

Why use a material combination of Pc+ABS? Originally, PC was made of polycarbonate, a strong and tough thermoplastic resin. It has characteristics such as high strength, tensile resistance, and high temperature resistance. It has good insulation properties and is a good insulation material, which is currently used in the shells of many safety regulated power adapters. The full name of ABS is acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer, which is characterized by low strength, good toughness, low temperature resistance, easy processing, good flowability, and is conducive to coloring and spraying.

 

PC+ABS plastic combines the advantages of both PC and ABS materials, and the products made of it have a smoother surface and good strength. Compared with pure ABS plastic, it is more resistant to high temperatures and has better overall performance.
